My Very, Very, Very Unlucky Story

About when I got my Adenoids Out

By Jordan

When I was in 2nd grade, I had to get my adenoids out.  We had to wake up early, at about 6:00 a.m. and I was crying so much, I think the house would flood if I kept on crying.  I left my brother at home with my grandma and grandpa. It was a long drive.  When we got there, I put my finger in some sort of light thing, but I do not know why.

Then, I went to pick out a little animal friend.  I picked out a blue bear holing out a soccer ball.  I also bought and elephant named Honey.  Then we had to sit in a little room and I had to put a little gown on.  I got to look at a coloring book and magazines.  They called me up and I walked through doors and when I got there I sat up on a bed and laid down.

I had the surgery.  I can not tell you anything about it because I was asleep.  When I woke up they were handing me ice in a cup.  I got to go sit by my mom and dad outside the doors.  They gave me a lot of buckets because I kept on throwing up!  I screamed!  I had a needle sticking in my skin attached to a big cart that had blood tubes.  Then we finally got to go home.  I hope that never happens again.  That was the worst day in my life.
