The Wave Game

By Justin

“The Wave scores 6 – 4!” howled the announcer.  “It’s also time for the digital camera drop, sponsored by Time Warner Cable!”  All of a sudden digital cameras in white, plastic bags with mini, striped white and blue parachutes were floating everywhere.  They were all floating from left to right.  One came near us, but oh, it landed two rows in front of us.  I was so frustrated.

After the last parachute landed the game started again.  The other team got to kick off.  A guy scampered with the soccer ball and passed it to his teammate.  His teammate shot the ball so hard it flew past everyone even the goalkeeper, and the other team scored.

During the end of the game it was 11 Wave, 13 the other team.  The Wave had the ball now.  A person from the other team touched the ball in front of the goal and the referee called a foul, so they got a free kick in front of the goal.  He put the ball in front of the goal and three Wave players were behind the soccer ball, one in the middle, one in the left, and one in the right.  The right one ran toward the ball first and stepped over it.  The left player ran toward the ball and stepped over it.  The middle player ran toward the ball and kicked it at the goal and scores.  “The Wave scores again 13 to 13!” yells the announcer.

There were only five seconds in the “5,4,3,2,1,”  Arhhhhh!  The buzzer rang.  It was overtime and the Wave got to kick off.  The player had the ball and ran with it.  A person from the other team tackled him and ran in front of the goal, shot the ball toward the goal, scored, and won the game.  I was so mad.  It was one of the worst days of my life.
