Falling Into the Creek

By Tim

It was a cold, winter day and I was riding on my blue sled.  Wish-Woosh!  I slid down at top speed and the next thin I knew, I was heading for the creek.  I closed my eyes.  Woosh- I went past the ice, but before I knew it, my boots were cold.  There was water under the snow.  I ran up on the sidewalk.  I emptied my boots full of water and then I found a perfect spot to on.  So, I slid down.  I went one mile per hour.  I was bored, so I used my pole.  Now I was going five miles per hour and I ended up in the ice.  I was one foot away from getting out, but I put too many holes into the ice, and there was too much weight.  So, I fell in.  I started to get cold and I started to cry.  So, I ran into the house and told the whole story to everyone.

A week later my brother and I were having a snowball race together in the pond.  At the end of the race my brother was standing on a big chunk of ice.  He was punching it on the side and then, BAM, he plopped in the water.  I grabbed his hand and pulled him up.  He was wet.  He said, “My legs are cold.”  I said, “I know Shane, I know.”  So, we went to tell dad who was on the roof fixing something.
